Building a professional network for in-house counsel, a regulated audience with zero tolerance for ambiguity and high standards for institutional trust.
LexisNexis was launching a new social media platform for their legal division, Martindale-Hubbell. The new site is based on the concept of connections, or "referrals" as known in the legal world. The platform was designed to build connections through in-house and corporate lawyers, the key to business success for many firms.
Starting with Martindale's vast lawyer directory, the platform gave attorneys a strong start in matching their skillsets and experience with the needs of in-house counsel. My role was to develop the UX/UI that makes the process seamless and natural for a non-tech-focused attorney.
Screen designs ready for the Lexis development team, delivered with full style specs.
Developed the platform's copy framework: onboarding, connection prompts, profile guidance, and all UX writing. Lawyers are professionally trained to read for precision, and a network platform written for them has to earn its credibility line by line. Also led social media campaign creative across Martindale-Hubbell and Lawyers.com.
A professional network built to the trust standards of the legal profession, where the platform's design reflected the institutional authority of a 150-year-old brand entering a new medium.
